Natural and Herbal Remedies for Dizziness


Dizziness is something that most of us experience at some time in our lives. It is a feeling oflight-headedness, loss of balance and can cause passing out.

Dizziness is not a disease. It is a sign of other conditions such as heart muscle disease, neurological disorders, low blood pressure, anemia, allergies, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), tinnitus, heat stroke, ear infections, migraines, vision-related disorders, head injuries and anxiety disorders.

It can also because of motion sickness, dehydration, excessive exercise, stress, hormonal changes in the body, and a side effect from medications.

The following are the natural and herbal remedies for dizziness:


Ginger is a tired and tested solution for dizziness and the nausea that usually associates it.

Chew on a small slice of fresh ginger root or suck on ginger candies to combat dizziness.

Drink ginger ale or ginger tea a few times daily to help avoid dizziness.

One more option is to take ginger supplements after checking with your doctor for the right dosage.


Lemon is another excellent remedy for dizziness. The vitamin C in lemon increases the immune system and helps the body fight illness. Also, several other nutrients in lemon make it a natural energizing agent.

Squeeze the juice of ½ lemon into a glass of water. Blend in 2 teaspoons of sugar. Drink it to get relief from dizziness.

Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, a pinch of black pepper powder and salt to a glass of water. Drink it 3 times a day, as needed.

Indian Gooseberry

Indian gooseberry, is which also known as amla, a famous Ayurvedic treatment for dizziness. Amla is a very rich source of vitamins A and C that improves your immunity, better blood circulation and help scure and stop dizziness.

Grind 2 amla fruits (de-seeded) into a paste.

Combine in 2 teaspoons of coriander seeds and a cup of water.

Let it sit overnight.

The next morning, filter and drink the water.

Repeat daily for a few days.


Honey has natural sugars; it can promptly increase your energy level and avoid dizziness.

Combine 2 teaspoons each of honey and raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a glass of cold or hot water. Drink it 2 times a day.

Otherwise, blend 1 tablespoon each of honey and lemon juice in a glass of warm water. Drink it to get fast relief from dizziness.

One more option is to mix together 1 teaspoon each of honey and cinnamon powder and drink it daily in the morning for a few weeks.
